As you can imagine, it has been difficult to get reports out of the Philippines.  The storm has just recently left the northern Luzon region.  Typhoon Parma actually hit the region three times.  The entire region was inundated with more inches of rain than can easily be counted and winds of 145 mph. 

The damage report is good considering the type of storm that hit.  It was called a "Super Typhoon."  We are thankful that none of our kids or staff were injured in any way and damage to the North Campus properties was minimal.  Extra funds will be needed to cover the costs of repairs and extend help to those more impacted by the storm.

The bigger tragedy might be next.  All of the crops in the region were destroyed and this is a vital farming area for the entire nation.  Also, contaminated water is everywhere.  Rivers continue to flood and landslides are tearing out roads and bridges.  Transportation will be hampered for some time.  There are great concerns for the health of residents in northern Luzon and of course Manila.  Malaria and other deceases are caused and exacerbated by floods especially when it carries raw sewage with those flood waters.  PLEASE PRAY!
